Sovereign Peoples Alliance

Standing against imposed change

Contact Support

About Us

We are a collective united by the belief that rapid and imposed change without public consent undermines stability, identity, and long-standing cultural traditions.

Run by the local community, for the local community. We are people who live here, looking out for the people who live here — ensuring that residents are fully informed and understand the impact of proposed changes to infrastructure and the local area.

As a private members association, we operate independently, giving us the freedom to advocate freely on behalf of our members and the wider community without external influence or obligation.

Community members joining hands in unity

Our Mission

Sovereign Peoples Alliance exists to encourage thoughtful public discussion surrounding governance, accountability, transparency, and national identity. We advocate for informed participation, open dialogue, and peaceful civic engagement.

• Encourage thoughtful public discussion surrounding governance, accountability, transparency, and national identity
• Advocate on behalf of the people to the corporate council and other decision-making bodies, ensuring that people's rights are upheld and taken into consideration
• Ensure the safety and full spectrum of evidence behind new technologies being introduced into the area is properly examined and openly shared
• Give a voice to the young and old, and the voiceless — every member of our community deserves to be heard
• Advocate on behalf of local businesses to ensure the ongoing prosperity of the local area
• Promote peace, unity, and prosperity throughout Erewash Borough

Our Values

Preservation, transparency, and accountability are at the core of our principles. We believe communities should have a voice in major societal decisions and reforms.

We stand for:
Community first — local people looking out for local people
Informed consent — no change without full information and genuine consultation
Rights upheld — ensuring people's rights are recognised, respected, and taken into consideration
Evidence-based decisions — demanding the full spectrum of evidence behind new technologies and infrastructure proposals
Inclusive representation — a voice for every generation, every background, and every corner of our community

What We Support

• Open public discussion
• Community involvement
• Historical and cultural preservation
• Responsible leadership and accountability
• Respectful civic participation
• Advocacy for local businesses and ongoing economic prosperity
• A voice for all — young, old, and those who struggle to be heard
